Excel Christian School’s Annual Giving Program

This October 2025 we are excited to announce the launch of our Annual Fund – an important giving initiative that directly impacts the life of our school. Like most private and independent schools, tuition alone does not fully cover the cost of operating Excel. Gifts to the Annual Fund help bridge that gap and allow us to continue offering an exceptional, Christ-centered education.

What is the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund benefits the current year operating budget, providing the flexibility for our leadership team to respond to needs and opportunities that support Excel’s mission.

Why is the Annual Fund Important to Excel?

Every dollar given to the Annual Fund immediately strengthens Excel by:

  • Providing tuition assistance so more families can access Christian education.
  • Improving facilities that create a safe and welcoming learning environment.
  • Expanding academic and mission based-programming.
  • Supporting and encouraging our faculty, who invest daily in the lives of our students.

Annual Fund FAQ’s

What does the Annual Fund benefit?
The Annual Fund benefits the current year operating budget allowing the Excel administration team to pursue projects and initiatives that support the school’s mission.
What amount should I give to the Annual Fund?
We are thankful for every gift, no matter the amount, acknowledging that by donating to Excel you are showing your support for our mission of “motivating students to find joy in the pursuit of spiritual, moral, relational and academic excellence.” When determining the amount of your gift we encourage you to pray about what an impactful gift would be for your family.
Should I give per child or per family?
We consider gifts per family, not per child to be counted towards our goal of 100% participation.
Is my gift eligible for a matching gift from my company?
Since Excel is a non-profit 501c3, and no goods or services are received, gifts to the Annual Fund are 100% tax deductible. Check with your company to see if their matching gift program will apply and you can potentially double your gift!
Who can give to the Annual Fund?
Anyone! We hope that our entire community of parents, grandparents, extended family, businesses and more will support the Annual Fund.
When does the Annual Fund end?
All donations to the 2025-2026 Annual Fund must be received by February 1, 2026.

EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

At Excel, we have a number of events and activities that support our mission through fundraising, community building and ministry.

Golf Tournament

On September 13, 2025, our Excel community will come together for a day of sport where we raise funds and build community to support our school. Questions? Email office@excelchristianschool.com.

Chili Cook-off

Each year, we take a moment to recognize and remember a pioneer of Excel Christian School, Jami Davis. A cherished member of the community, Jami felt passionately that every child deserves access to a Christian education. The fun evening includes a festive competition between chili chefs where guests get to be the judges and crown a chili champion!

Gala & Auction

Excel’s largest fundraiser of the year brings our entire community together to raise significant funds and celebrate our Christian foundation. Featuring online and live auctions, this event is not to be missed. Save the date! This year’s Gala will be at the grand Sierra Resort on April 18.
