• Our Golf Tournament is coming Saturday, September 19 and  you can be a part by signing up to play, sponsor or donate to the raffle. This event supports our athletic program and is a great way to get involved at Excel

• S.W.A.T is a time for our students to go into the community and show God’s love by doing various service projects. This year’s dates of service are September 14-18 for Elementary students and May 10-13 for MS/HS students. 
• Families and friends of Excel, join us on September 23 at 9am on the field for an all-school prayer event: See You At The Pole. This event is part of the broader Global Week of Student Prayer and our community will gather to pray for friends, schools, families, communities and our nation. We will read scripture, worship and sign together. RSVP’s are not needed but check in at the front desk when you arrive for a visitor’s badge.  
• Save the Date for the Fall Festival on September 25. This annual fall gathering takes place on campus and features food, games, music and fun! Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the event.

• Sign Up for the Parent Teacher Network: The PTN serves the Excel community primarily through Teacher Appreciation initiatives, support for the school fundraising events and fun activities for the student body. • Equipped Parent Classes: Beginning September 9, our School Counselor, Susan Martin, Ph.D., ABSNP, NCSP, ASDCS, will lead monthly Equipped Parent Classes. These classes will generally be held on the second Wednesday of each month in Room 15 from 5:30pm-7:00pm.

At Excel, we believe education is a partnership with families. From our youngest learners through 12th grade, we are committed to walking alongside parents throughout their child’s spiritual, moral, relational, and academic journey. As part of that partnership, Equipped is designed to provide practical resources, biblical encouragement, and helpful tools that reinforce and strengthen what students are learning and experiencing at school. • Drama Club! Every Thursday 2:30 – 3:30. You will meet in Room 15 (outside modular) Starting September 3rd until the end of the year. Students should sign up with Mrs.Mac in grade 6. There will be a $40 fee to help purchase scripts, costumes, etc.

• Servant Warriors Around Town: We are very excited to be gearing up for S.W.A.T. and this year’s dates of service will be September 14-18 for Elementary students and May 10-13 for MS/HS students. S.W.A.T. is a time for our students to go into the community and show God’s love by doing various service projects.

  Each year, we have t-shirts designed for our students to wear identifying them as students of Excel and as a way to promote our school. We do not charge our students for these shirts, but instead ask for donations from businesses, families, and churches to help our students receive this awesome gift. Please help Excel’s students by donating or asking for donations for their t-shirts. The names of businesses, churches, and families who donate will be printed on the back of our shirts. Donate here or by dropping a check off to the front office. 

  
  

• Elementary Drop Off: Elementary students are not allowed to be on campus before 8:30am unless they are registered for our extended care program. 
• Picture Day is Wednesday, August 26. All students need to be in uniform for their fall pictures. If your student is a part-time student, the photographer will be ready by 8:15am. Picture order forms have been given to your students.

• Grade 6 parents: Please wait outside in the courtyard for your student at the end of the day.  Please do not gather in the hallway in front of the class. This keeps the hallways open for others to pass through.
• Sign Up for FCA Sports: This new program is open to students in grades 1–6 and meets Tuesdays from 3:15–4:30 PM, September 22–November 3. The $60 registration fee includes an FCA jersey/T-shirt, snacks, and drinks. Scholarships are available. Please register by Friday, August 28. Sign Up Here.

  Schedule: 3:30–4:00 p.m. New Student Welcome (Gym). 4:00–5:00 p.m. School Fair (Gym). 5:00–6:00 p.m. Meet the Teacher & Classroom Visits. Full information is listed on the Parents tab of the website. 
• Prayer Walk on Sunday, August 16 from 4:00-5:00pm. We invite all students, families, staff, and friends to join us as we pray over our campus, classrooms, teachers, students, and the upcoming school year.
• Reminder: All School Supplies and Classroom specific supplies are listed on the Parents tab of our website, including instructions for dropping off your supplies.
• First Day of School is August 17: Preschool-Grade 6 begins at 8:45am and Grades 7-12 begin at 8:15am.
• Interested in high school girls volleyball? Practice begins Monday, August 17 at 2:45pm-4:30pm. Please wear leggings, kneepads and a t-shirt.
• We are looking for National Anthem singers at Excel’s home games. Interested? Auditions are open to all Excel students, Staff, Alumni or Parents. To sign up for more information about auditions, please fill out this form by Friday, August 21.
