Robotics Program at Excel Christian

Now in its third year, the Excel Christian School Robotics Team continues to thrive as part of the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition Science and Technology) Robotics program. This global movement inspires young people to become science and technology leaders and innovators. Founded by inventor Dean Kamen, FIRST combines the excitement of competitive robotics with the power or mentorship and real-world problem solving.

Through hands-on, team-based challenges, students design, build, and program robots to compete in high-energy events. More than robots, FIRST is about building confidence, collaboration, communication, and leadership skills. Students work alongside professional mentors, gaining hands-on experience in engineering, coding, project management, marketing, and teamwork. The program emphasizes its core values of innovation, inclusion, impact, teamwork, and fun—preparing students not just for careers in STEM, but for success in life.
