Admissions:
Excel’s Pre Kindergarten is primarily for children 4 years of age or those that are in transition and currently not eligible for kindergarten. Early-admission is determined on a case-by-case basis. If a child is ready both socially and emotionally, they may attend 30-60 days prior to their birthdate. Children must be 5 by September 30 in order to attend Excel’s Kindergarten.
Birth Certificate: Parents must provide the school with a birth certificate or passport as proof of the student’s age. The student must be enrolled under the name that appears on this document.
Health Record: A current immunization record must be obtained by your doctor or from the Washoe County Health Department. Immunizations must be up-to-date according to the Washoe County Health Department standards or obtain documented proof of scheduled appointments before the student may attend Excel. Proper documentation must be submitted for medical or religious exemption.
Physical Exam: A student must have a well-child check within 30 days of attending Excel. The physical exam for Pre Kindergarten attendance should include at minimum: date of birth, significant health history (major health problems, etc.), allergies, current medications and a list of over-the-counter medication that the child may have.
